Great tut man! One question though, I’ve setup my site on wordpress JUST like you did and i can’t figure out how to get my menu links to work? I did the same as you, building the site locally and then copy the files over into a template file. I just can’t figure out how to make the links work….is it a file path problem like with subdirectories?

I’m assuming you have to create the page completely in all the dimensions of the theme . Also, I’m assuming that the dynamic portion of the page must be very specific in keeping with the theme also.

How do you give your blog/posts page similar layout/design to you homepage? I have followed your instructions from this video very successfully but when i tried to apply the same method for the blog/post page it would revert to the standard layout/design.

Thanks for this! I’ve been looking for info on editing WP files and seem to have been looking in the wrong places. WP as a CMS now makes sense.

Great video! I’ve been wanting to design my own sites, rather than purchasing themes and I thinking I may be on my way!

I really enjoyed the video. I’ve watched it numerous times. I noticed that you have css style sheets linked to the php files. You showed that the php files from your hard drive needed to moved to the themes folder on the live server.

I noticed that you didn’t say to move the linked /css/css/master.css file to the live server. Apparently you must have because every thing looked good.

    Keep being an inspiration.

No BS tutorials; you’re doing it right.

Take note wordpress. The stuff here isn’tcomplicated, so how bouts you go on explain that on your site rather than a bunch of crappy mods to CMS’ify my site?
